Plovdiv Airport Starts its Charter Program

The winter charter program of the “Plovdiv International Airport” Ltd., started with flights from Dublin on 22 December, announced Mr. Plamen Nikolov, vice president of the airport. Bulgarian and foreign air companies will transport tourists, mainly from Ireland, Great Britain and Russia.
Three Bulgarian, four Russian, four British and one Irish Air Company will transfer tourists. The Bulgarian companies are “Bulgaria Air”, “Balkan Holidays Air” and “Bulgaria Air Charter” will carry tourists to Plovdiv Airport.

Plovdiv airport operates mainly through the winter season from December until mid April. During the rest of the year it is mainly used by cargo flights.

For the next season the airport plans increase of the capacity of the passengers’ terminal.
