Culinary Competition at Plovdiv International Fair

6 cities from the country will participate in a culinary competition organized at the Plovdiv Fair. The competition is the first of a kind and started yesterday, on May 15 in the 18th Chamber of the fair. Twelve teams from six cities will take part in the competition. On the first stage each team will have 2 hours to prepare unique warm and cold appetizer, main dish and desert. The second round foresees preparing of a meal of various, unknown by the participant products until the last moment.

Plovdiv Fair Soon to Extend to Sofia and Varna

The first divisions of the International Plovdiv Fair will soon open in Sofia and Varna. Other big municipal centers are expected to follow as well.

The divisions will be built on state owned land plots, which will be deposited in the capital of the International Plovdiv Fair in order to increase the association's assets.

The announcement was made by Petar Dimitrov, Minister of the Economy and the Energy Production at the official opening ceremony of the 28th Spring Fair in Plovdiv....

Plovdiv International Fair Starts Today

The Bulgarian minister of economy and energy Peter Dimitrov will open the International fair of consumer goods and technologies, today in Plovdiv.

991 companies from 36 countries have registered for participation in the event, 668 of which are Bulgarian.

Most of the foreign companies are from Italy, Poland, Germany, Turkey, Greece and Spain. The new participant countries are Ukraine, Norway, San Marino and Singapore.

MENSA Gathers Clever People of the Balkans in Bulgaria

Balkan meeting of the MENSA high intelligent people will occur in Bulgaria.
The international event starts today in Plovdiv city and will continue to May 3rd.

Bulgaria Thracian Gold Treasure to Delight Plovdiv Fair Visitors

Bulgaria's world-famous Panagyurishte gold treasure dating back to Thracian times is to turn into the sensation of this year's spring Plovdiv Fair to be held May 12 -17.

Agriculture Expo 'Agra 2008' Achieves Record in Visitors

33, 897 people have visited AGRA 2008 - a record in the 17 -year history of the International Agricultural Exposition.
The visitors' raise is 13, 5% compared to last year when guests were 29, 853.

The most of the foreign attendants were from Greece, Turkey, Serbia, Macedonia and Romania.
That's how AGRA has already turned into the most successful agriculture exposition on the Balkans.

“Agra” International Agricultural Exhibition Opens in Plovdiv

The Bulgarian minister of agriculture Nihat Kabil will open today the International agricultural exhibition “Agra” in the Bulgarian town of Plovdiv.

762 companies from 39 countries take part in the event, informs radio Plovdiv.

Minister Kabil will attend a round table discussion “Agricultural policy – education, science, business”, organized by the Agrarian university in Plovdiv.

New Business Centre to be Built in Plovdiv

A new business center will emerge in Plovdiv.
The 10-storey building will be spread over 1,800 square meters and the investment will go beyond 6 million EUR.

According to the architecture plans first three floors will be trade area and the rest will be taken by offices.

The 3rd floor is previewed to be taken by a restaurant of 500 squares meters.

The business park is expected to be finished in an year as to the moment the investor doesn't thinks of selling trade and office shares.

Plovdiv Hosts Prestigious Agro 2008 Forum

A total of 722 firms from 39 countries had applied for participation at the most prestigious agriculture forum of South-Eastern Europe.
The forum will take place in the fair complex of Plovdiv city starting from February 19 until 23rd.

The booked area for Agra 2008 is with almost 40% more compared to last year. The event will be opened by Bulgaria's Agriculture Minister Nihat Kabil.
